How we checked: the sites of Elijah’s Oyster & Fish Camp, Circa 1922, Seabird, Caprice Bistro and Rx Chicken & Oysters. Dock Street Oyster Bar loaded without readable text, and the tourism board’s Riverwalk guide returned access denied. All read on November 3, 2026. Hours, prices, rules, closures and road status change, so check the named agency or business before you rely on them. Anything we could not read is marked Not confirmed where it appears. What Near The Riverwalk Means Here
The Wilmington Riverwalk follows the Cape Fear River through the historic downtown. Only one site we read ties itself to it: Elijah’s, at 2 Ann St., says it has the largest porch on the Riverwalk. Circa 1922 (8 North Front Street), Seabird (1 S. Front St.) and Caprice Bistro (10 Market St.) give downtown street addresses and Seabird says it sits in a historic downtown building. Rx Chicken & Oysters is at 421 Castle Street, and its page does not say how far that is from the river, so we mark that relationship Not confirmed. No site gave a walking time, so there are none on this page.
Hours to Notice
Four of the five open for dinner only on most days (Elijah’s is the exception). Elijah’s is the lunch option on this page: it opens at 11:30am daily. Seabird adds a brunch window on Saturday and Sunday, 10AM to 1PM, and is closed Tuesday. Caprice Bistro opens at 4 PM and closes at 10 PM Monday to Saturday and 9 PM on Sunday. Rx lists Tuesday through Saturday dinner only plus a Sunday brunch. These are the hours as printed on the sites on November 3, 2026, and holidays are not covered Not confirmed.
Food Styles You Will See
Elijah’s describes itself as an oyster and fish camp and has served seafood since 1984, according to its own site. Seabird’s page centers on seasonal North Carolina seafood. Circa 1922 describes seasonal American fare; Caprice Bistro lists dinner, dessert and wine menus; and Rx lists a mix of chicken and oysters. None of the sites we read gave menu prices that we could verify as current, so we give none.
