About Morrisville
Morrisville is in Wake County, "just outside the capital city of Raleigh," and calls itself one of the most diverse towns in North Carolina. The National Civic League named it an All-America City in 2021 and again in 2026.
Cricket is part of the town's identity: its All-America City page says Morrisville "uniquely created a welcoming atmosphere for immigrants by embracing the game of cricket," and professional cricket is played at Church Street Park.
There is no established downtown yet. The Town Center "broke ground in fall 2025" and will add a town green, an amphitheater and small shops; the district already has the library, a dog park, the Indian Creek Trailhead and the Western Wake Farmers Market.
Growth: The town says its population "has ballooned from 5,000 to over an estimated 34,800 residents as of December 2025" (a town estimate, not a Census figure) and expects "approximately 38,000 to 40,000 residents in the next three to five years." Census Bureau estimates put Morrisville at 32,466 people in July 2025, +8.8% since April 2020. See Triangle growth towns.
