Sanford was incorporated in 1874 and Lee County formed in 1907. The area is traditionally called the nation’s brick-making capital. No official brick museum or brick-history page turned up, so brick history here is thin. Where sources disagree on a date, the row says Not confirmed.
Anything marked “Not confirmed” was not stated on an official page when we looked. Check with the organizer or business before you go.
