About Mount Jefferson State Natural Area

A natural landmark in Ashe County rises abruptly from the land around it and has overlooks and Luther Rock with views as far as Tennessee. More than 700 plants grow here, including the Dutchman's pipevine that swallowtail butterflies visit.
